The estate extends over a single hill, with 40 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and arable land.
Villa la Selva, the heart of the estate, is an ancient house already belonged to the Bonaparte family, then bought, in the mid-nineteenth century, by the Marquis Cosimo Ridolfi, the founder of the faculty of agriculture at the University of Pisa, which began here apply innovative techniques to the vineyards and built the winery currently in use.
